I Quit… Comparing

Which area(s) do you compare yourself to others?

  • Possessions
  • Appearances
  • Performance
  • Cicumstances

I. Comparison is the death of contentment. (2 Corinthians 10:12)

Success in life is not a matter of being inferior or superior; it is simply being who God wants you to be, NOT who you wish you were.

II. Comparison makes us prideful. (Luke 18:11-12)

III. Comparison makes us resentful. (1 Samuel 18:6-9)

We resent God’s goodness in other’s lives and ignore God’s blessing in our own life!

So What Do We Do Now?

  • Know what you have — Learn to be content. (Philippians 4:11-13)
  • Know who you are — God’s masterpiece! (Ephesians 2:10)

In knowing who you are, you will know who you don’t have to be!
