The purpose of our Women’s Ministry is to meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of women at North Point Community Church and within our community. This ministry is designed to encourage women to grow in their faith in Christ, to develop and strengthen intimate friendships with other women, and to provide opportunities to serve and reach our community for Christ.  As women grow and mature in godliness, they are better equipped to nurture and serve in their families, to enrich the church and to evangelize their communities. Our vision is to provide something for every woman of every age group at every stage of life in every circumstance.

Bible Studies

We believe that the study of God’s Word must be the basis of our ministry. We cannot function without an understanding of scripture. God has given us a guide book for life, and we need to understand the importance of being more like Him.

We currently have two bible studies:

The Bible and its Influence – Thursday mornings (on-going) 10-12

Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed: A Study of David – Tuesday Evenings, 6-8, starting October 4, 2016

Ladies’ Night Out

Fellowship is key in building a healthy women’s ministry. We love to laugh and cry with one another. It not only builds community within the church but also ministry muscles for outreach.  Events are planned to offer girls of all ages time to fellowship and encourage each other.

At least once per year, we will host an inspirational guest speaker to lift up our women with life experience, humor and biblical teachings.

Our retreats for women are filled with great teaching, Christ exalting worship, fun and relaxation. It’s our desire to help women to grow spiritually, deepen their relationship with the Lord and to fellowship with other women. You won’t want to miss this special time together.

Women of Joy Conference

Women of Joy, hosted by Phil Waldrep Ministries, is a conference ministry thoughtfully designed to enhance and energize the spiritual lives of Christian women. With the very best speakers in the country, the brightest stars in the contemporary Christian music universe, and sound, biblical teaching, the Women of Joy conferences offer an exciting, spiritually fulfilling, experience for today’s women. This year’s guests include Jeremy Camp, Kay Warren, Liz Curtis Higgs, Jill Kelly, Angela Thomas and Charles Billingsley.

Service Projects

Each year, we try to serve at least two organizations.  Annually, we hold a school supply drive for the teachers at our partner school, Lonnie B. Nelson Elementary. Our other project varies as our community needs change. Service projects allow us to reach out to those in our community and show them the love of Christ.

Each year we hold fundraisers to assist us in keeping down the cost of our women’s events.  This year we held a Mystery Night and a Fall Bazaar. Our members can participate by volunteering to work the events, purchasing tickets to the fundraising events or exhibiting products at the bazaar.
